3 Starters Your Kids Will Love

Worried about your little one throwing tantrums while eating food or having unhealthy junk? Well, that what young ones are all about. But you don’t need to worry anymore when it comes to food because we’re here to solve that crisis. A mix of something that is healthy and that looks attractive is exactly what your kid needs. Here are 3 Easy to make snacks that will fill your kid’s small tummy in a yummy and healthy way.

Potato Cumin Bread Roll:

Ingredients Needed

Potatoes – 2 medium

Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp

Chili flakes/ Chili powder – 1 tsp

Salt to taste, Bread Slices

Ghee – 1Tbsp

Method to prepare:

Boil Potatoes till tender. Peel the skin and allow cooling. Then add cumin powder and chili flakes/ chili powder, Salt and mix well. Trim the sides of the bread and roll it out flat using the rolling pin. Place the potato filling on one side and roll it tightly towards the other side. Apply some water to the far end that you are going to cover and stick together. This is ready to be roasted but if you want, you can freeze it for 5 mins or so. Then heat a pan with ghee and roast this till crisp on both sides and serve.

Paneer Palak Tikki:

Ingredients Needed

Paneer crumbled – 1 cup

Spinach – 1 bunch app

Onions – 1 medium

Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp

Green Chilies / Red chili powder – 1 tsp (as per taste)

Salt to taste

Wheat flour – 2 tbsp

Maida – 1 tsp

Bread Crumbs – 2 tbsp

Coriander leaves – handful
Ajwain/ Omam – 1/4 tsp

Method to prepare

Crumble the paneer well. Wash and finely chop the spinach. Take all the ingredients along with the flour in a bowl. Mix well to get smooth dough, ensure the tikki mix is not sticky, or else add some more flour. Heat a pan with little oil. Divide the mix into small balls. Flatten each into 6′ disc. Finally dust them well on bread crumbs. Place on the hot pan, sprinkle few drops of oil. Cook on low flame for the tikkis to get cooked well. Flip to the other side when it is done. Serve with Ketchup.

Masala Peanut Chat:

Ingredients Needed

Masala peanut chaat

Peanuts

1 onion

1 tomato

Green Chillies

Coriander Leaves

Chat masala and salt to taste

Method to prepare

Soak roasted peeled Peanuts/ Grounds in salted water for 5 mins. Drain them. Take them in a bowl, add finely chopped onions. Then goes the finely chopped tomatoes, finely chopped green chilies, coriander leaves. Sprinkle salt, chat masala, mix well. Your now set to serve this quick dish
