It’s no hidden fact that water crisis has now become a national issue in our country. With several states running dry, a lot have been talked about protecting Adam’s ale as much as possible. Though one simply cannot use water at all, but there are several ways in which you can minimise the usage. Especially at events like birthdays, weddings or social parties, where people unintentionally end up wasting too much water.
So this summer, take a stand, make a difference and save water as much as you can. Here are some hacks we feel might make a perfect replacement for water at your celebrations:

Disposable Paper Plates/Glasses:

Consider half your problem solved if you opt for disposable paper plates and glasses at your celebrations. With caterers wasting a lot of water while washing the utensils, these disposable items would be a perfect replacement.

Wet Tissues or Towels:

Since the scorching heat tends to make one feel sticky, wet towels or tissues could prove handy to a great extent.

Swap Water with Juices:

coconut water, juices and wine
Though nothing can replace water when it comes to quenching thirst, but coconut water or sugarcane juice definitely helps.  Also, there’s always wine!

Fruits and Ice-creams:

Everyone loves ice-cream in Summer. Add different flavors to the menu and watch people go crazy over it. You could include more dishes of fruits like watermelon, muskmelon or even grapes as they are known to soothe the body heat.

Use Smaller Glasses:

Yes, this works as with smaller glasses there is a good chance people will finish their drinks. Plus, they can always take more if required.

There’s so much one can do to make sure people take water shortage seriously before it’s too late to realise. Spread awareness through posters at your celebrations or use the leftover water if any to wash utensils.

Remember, every drop is precious. Let’s save it while we can.
