A Journey from an Intern to Senior Digital Marketing Associate

I was a teenager, when I joined BookEventz as a DigitalMarketing Intern in 2018, while I was in my second year of Bachelors of Management Studies in Marketing. I was fascinated with the name BookEventz itself. It was always a dream to work with an Event Management Firm. For a college student and a fresher, the professional world is always very fascinating. Here was my first day at Bookeventz, I was prepared for this day, I couldn’t sleep the previous night thinking how I’m I going to manage in this new place with these new faces around, how would I complete my daily tasks, was I capable enough of doing it? I was so nervous that I started freezing on my first day. But I got this team who made me feel comfortable on my very first day. That’s what you say, You need the right kind of people at the right place. I knew I was at the Right Place. 

It is also important to work with the right organization, especially at the start of your career, which is the building block towards a successful professional life. Personally, BookEventz has provided me with everything a new joiner can possibly ask for – a great brand name, proper guidance, proficient leaders and a team with brilliant skills and always ready to help attitude…

Every day new tasks were assigned to me and I was motivated to complete them, the office had now become my comfort zone where I could take challenges on a daily basis. With all the learnings provided to me, I was consistent with my work and finally, I was offered a permanent role after the end of my Internship Period. My area of expertise is SEO where I work closely with the content team, tech team and product team, with the sole goal to increase the traffic on our website. My first and foremost priority is to understand our customers. As an SEO specialist, I understand the customer’s behaviour, and accordingly, make marketing strategies that are area-specific, Hence my job demands a lot of research work, and I thoroughly enjoy putting my efforts into it. There are certain times when I have got an opportunity to contribute towards writing blogs, Social Media Marketing, and Email marketing, which also helped me in exploring my potential in writing

The level of exposure I have received has been phenomenal which helped me mould myself into a well-rounded professional. It is truly an employee-oriented organization, that has a great ability to see potential in people and put them in a place where they can develop and succeed. The positive work environment and flat organizational structure have always been overwhelming to me. Many a time I got the opportunity to work directly with the founder and director of the company.

It’s just been one year I am associated with BookEventz and in this short span, I got multiple opportunities to learn and explore new areas of growth. It’s been an incredible journey from an intern to a full-time employee.

Every day in the office, there is a new learning experience for my canvas. It could be anything from virtual technical sessions of Google to create posts for customer engagement. But, one thing that I absolutely love about BookEventz is its the prime motto to – Learn And Grow!

BookEventz being one of my first step towards my career has given me an opportunity to grow and understand my life choices in a better way.
