Halloween Fear scares, fear shocks, fear makes you cry and sometimes its fear that gives you a reason to celebrate. Halloween is out there and its time you can be ready to scare people. 31st October as the date says, Halloween is the time of celebration and superstition. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints and martyrs. The evening before was known as All Hallows’ Eve and later Halloween.

It is celebrated around the world with different traditions and cultures. In India, though there is not much of zeal seen but yes in foreign countries, unusual practices are observed. In Austria, some people will leave bread, water and a lighted lamp on the table before retiring on Halloween night. The Belgians believe that it is unlucky for a black cat to cross one’s path and also unlucky if it should enter a home or travel on a ship. In Czechoslovakia, chairs are placed by the fireside on Halloween night. There is one chair for each living family member and one for each family member’s spirit. Different places. Different rituals. Jack-o’-lantern, made from a pumpkin, lit from within by a candle is one of the famous associations that you see on Halloween.
