Know your Drink: Gin

Meeting people makes one understand what people actually think, what they want how their thought process works etc. We have had this golden opportunity of meeting people who take their drinks seriously at our Bar-o-Scope events that we had conducted at Grillopolis some weeks back.  There was a grapevine discussion about how girly a this drink is. That makes me think about why should you term Gins as girly? Does it make you speak like a girl? Or does it make you dress like a girl? For both the questions the answer is No. The point I want to make is, how misunderstood the various types of drinks are. People just blindly believe and make judgments on others perception.

my-ginGins are dry alcohol and is often used as a base for a lot of drinks. You will rarely seen people having it on its own in its raw form. Its a grain spirit and is flavored with juniper berries. They are generally of four different types : London Dry , Dutch Genever, Old Tom and Compound . It is a very English drink, smells nice, it has that old fashioned vintage aura; probably that’s why girls may like it a lot. The connection between Gins and Girls ends here.
