Time for a Quickie Pizza Roll

The hustle bustle of Mumbai city creeps into every household. Apart from all the running around you do to get the chores done, a very important task is to cook food for the lunch boxes. We call it a task because it is difficult to prepare something that appeals to taste buds of every age group. So to kick away some of your troubles, we have put together a simple and very easy recipe that is full of nutrition and taste :)

For the Rotis:Quick Pizza Roll

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ghee
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp.  mixed herbs
  • ¼ tsp. chili flakes

Method: Mix together all the ingredients and knead a dough out of it. Roll out the rotis and half roast them on a pan.

* You could also use leftover rotis.

 

For the Vegetables:

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables ( red and yellow capsicum diced, baby corn, paneer cubes, chopped onions and diced capsicum)
  • Few drops of lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • Butter to sauté
  • 1 tsp. garlic paste

Method: Sauté all the vegetables and other ingredients in garlic and butter.

To Assemble:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp. chili garlic sauce
  • ½ tsp. pizza masala
  • Some grated cheese

Method: Roast the roti and spread tomato sauce and chili garlic sauce as the base. Next, put sautéed vegetables into it and grate loads of cheese over it. Bake the roti for 5 minutes at 200 C or just microwave it for a min. If you want some seasoning then sprinkle over it. Finally just roll and wrap it in silver foil. Your delicious pizza rolls are ready.
