6 Factors That Influence Pricing Of A Photography Package

Occasions form an integral part of our lives. Some arrive yearly, while others come once in a lifetime. To capture these moments forever, we all need photographers. Professional photography is reaching new heights and so is the photography pricing. As we approach the photographer,the first question we tend to ask about is the price quote. But do we really know the true photography pricing? So here we shall discuss on how to determine whether the price quote that your photographer is stating is worth or not based on the following questions.

1. Ask him / her to show a few sample photographs. Preferably, ask them to show you an entire album. Check out the photographs and see if it impresses you.

 

2. If the price quote is on higher side, inquire the reason for the same. Ask whether he /she will shoot with a full frame DSLR or not. Does he have a team to assist him? Big events demand more than just one photographer to capture everything.

 

3. Check out the low light photographs in the album. Are they having grains? Are they under exposed? Before you pay, get a thorough knowledge of what you are paying for.

 

4. Ask these questions to yourself while viewing the album:

i) Are there enough unique angles from where photographs have been taken?

ii) Are the photographs properly exposed?

iii) Are the photographs doing enough justice to the traditions of the event and the venue?

iv) Is there a lot of repetition of photographs in the album?

v) Is the background in each of the photographs distracting you? No photographs look good if the background is quite distracting and is taking all the attention away from the subject itself.

If you find the answers satisfactory, you may well go ahead with the photographer.

 

5. Ask them regarding videography too. Make sure they are ready to include videos in the package.

 

6. Try and have a very clear conversation with the photographer regarding the occasion, the events involved and the location. Observe how much interest he/she is showing in this kind of a discussion.

 

Photography is a very creative art form. Being a photographer myself, I can never balance it with money. But since you are hiring a professional, you must know what exactly you are paying for.
