First Promise of the Seven Promises

In the first promise of the seven promises ,while the groom promises the bride to bring home happiness and welfare to the family at any cost, the bride promises to fulfill her duties towards the groom’s family and shoulder all the responsibility for their prosperity.

Second Promise of The Seven Promises

In the second promise, the groom promises to protect the house and family with the help of the wife. In return, the bride promises to be his courage and strength while demanding his sole love and undivided attention.

 

Third Promise

The fourth promise is mainly dedicated to the family as the groom acknowledges the sacredness and the feeling of being complete brought to him by his beloved and they together wish for noble and obedient children and also promise to respect the elders in the family. Fifth Promise of The Seven Promises

The fifth promise is dedicated to the welfare of the universe and the living beings. The groom also seeks blessings from god for the well being of his wife. The wife pledges to cherish her husband for as long as she lives. She promises to trust and honor her husband and will strive to fulfill all his wishes.

Sixth Promise of The Seven Promises

In the sixth promise, the groom wishes for his beloved’s happiness and peace whereas the bride pledges to be by his side in sickness and heal. Though the sixth promise comes at the fag end of the seven promises but  it ensures the end of all the promises and entering into a new happy and prosperous life.

Seventh and The Final Promise

The last and the final promise involves the couple pleading for a lifelong relationship of love, understanding and fidelity.
