The Bollywood weddings have always been the talk of the town. But what makes these weddings so special?

First of all the celebrities are itself a very big name. Other than that amazing venues catch the attention of the fans. Secondly, spectacular designer attires, impeccable jewelries won the heart of people. Then the gigantic choice of most exotic world cuisines take the show. And all these things are immensely covered by media. Phew! All these things makes the Bollywood weddings special and EXPENSIVE of course!

So let us look at some B-town Bollywood weddings which made eyes pop-out in awe:

1.Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra got married on November 22, 2009. So, the ceremony took place at Bawa’s Villa in Khandala.  And they have their reception on November 24, 2009. It was held at Grand Hyatt hotel in Mumbai. Elite guests attended the wedding from the B-town. The big names are Amitabh Bacchan with Aishwarya, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and many more . So, above 500 was the speculated guest lists. But, mostly family members were included in the guest list. The menu included a selection of Indian, Western (Italian) and Asian (Thai and Chinese) cuisine. It was served at live counters. The big attraction of the evening was the nine-tier jaw-dropping wedding cake. And the cake weighed over 80 kgs. It was of chocolate, candied fruits, fruit peels and nuts.

2.Abhishek Bacchan and Aishwarya Rai

Abhishek and Aishwarya got married on April 20, 2007. The ceremony was happened at the Bachchan bungalow, Prateeksha. So, it included many big names like Anil Ambani, Karan Johar, Amar Singh, and many more. Their reception feast had the chefs from the Taj Hotel. And they served a delectable amalgamation of  Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines.

 

3.Kareena and Saif

Breaking the  rumors that the couple would go for a nikaah, Kareena Kapoor and Saif ali Khan got married on October 16, 2012. So, they  exchanged their  vows at the Taj Mahal Hotel. But there were no Pheras or Kabul hai’s  proving their secular outlook. The reception called Dawat-E-Walima was hosted by Saif Ali Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore which made Paparazzi. The reports also mentioned that two five star hotels in Gurgaon were booked completely. And the hotels were equipped with a helipad for the guest’s stay.

4.Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh

Not everybody is blessed to have two weddings. That too with the same person!! But Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh were lucky enough. So, their wedding was on February 3, 2012. And it was held in a  grand and high-class Maharashtrian style. It was in the Taj Lands End hotel, Mumbai. Also, a swish luxury restaurant booked for the guests. So, this lavish style made their marriage dreamier. And the ceremony was sparkling with big names like the Bachchans, Kapoors and Khans.  But later a Christian wedding was held also at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Bandra. Moreover, the  reception held at Grand Hyatt was absolutely a bollywood party.

 

 

5.Avantika and Imran Khan

Imran Khan and Avantika Malik tied knot on January 10, 2011. So, the expensive and lavish reception was held in the Taj Lands End hotel. And the marriage took place in Pali Hills. Also, reports suggest that the family especially had chefs flown in from Lucknow. They are here to prepare traditional delicacies. And the big names like Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, and Sachin Tendulkar was at the wedding. Imran’s mammu jaan, our very own Aamir Khan looked after the guests personally. And the reports also state that Karan Johar was the unofficial wedding planner for their wedding.

6.Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva

Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva tied knot on October 29, 2010. It was at the lavish Alva farmhouse. The place was near Hebbal Lake, Bangalore. And the reception took place in a ITC Maratha, Mumbai.
