1. KATRINA KAIF
As we all know our prettiest Katrina Kaif and Vickey Kaushal tied their knots on December 9, 2021. Their wedding took place on the grounds of the Royal Hotel Six Senses Fort Barware, Sawai Madhopur. Their marriage was in a proper Punjabi ritual.
Both Katrina and Vicky were styled by Anaita Shroff for their special day and were dressed up in custom-made Sabyasachi ensembles. Her red bridal Sabyasachi lehenga was draped with a custom-made fabric. The red netting on her drape was handmade with Kiran in hand-beaten electroplated gold which made for the detailed border along.
Her Kaleera were custom designed by Rahul Luthra and made by Mrinalini Chandra for the wedding. Each of the bangles she wore ahead of her red chooda, carried 6-7 messenger doves. The couple exchanged their rings from Tiffany & Co. for their wedding.
Katrina picked out an unusual piece in a Sapphire shade with platinum, breaking the trend of simple solitaires and diamonds. Her ring is priced at a whopping Rs. 7,41,000.
Katrina’s mangalsutra given by Vicky Kaushal was also crafted by Sabyasachi and a sort of the designer’s iconic Bengal Tiger mangalsutra. It featured double diamonds strung along with the neckpiece.
For her wedding, Katrina exhibited a raveled bespoke choker from Sabyasachi’s bridal jewelry collection. It featured uncut diamonds in 22k gold and was varnish with hand-string pearls. Her gold jhumka earrings, elegant Nath, and matha Patti matched her statement neckpiece very well.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal earlier had a court marriage before their grand wedding at Vicky Kaushal’s house in front of their family members. When there is a Bollywood celebrity wedding, the first fashion designer that strikes our mind is Sabyasachi.
However, Katrina pulled on the Abu Jani ensemble for Mehendi, a Manish Malhotra’s collection at the sangeet, and a Gucci attire at the wedding reception. Katrina Kaif along with her family and relatives will be wearing shoes from the luxurious shoe brand Joy.
2. NATASHA DALAL
Natasha Dalal and Varun Dhawan’s wedding was a highly guarded affair as they got hitched on January 24, 2022, at Alibaug’s Mansion House in the presence of family members and friends during the Covid-19. They followed Hindu rituals to start their new journey.
Natasha itself is a designer and she broke the stereotype of wearing a red lehenga by sporting a unique heavily embellished off-white lehenga by the collection of Manish Malhotra. Natasha’s choli was enhanced with a lot of silverwork and intricate details in the front which was teamed with sheer sleeves.
In this, she wore a white choodie and her customized kaleera designed by celebrated jewelry designer Mrinalini Chandra. She ditched the golden ones for silver that took her to look to the next level. For the hair, Natasha went the floral route and secured her hair with a bunch of white flowers.
As Natasha is a new-age bride and believes in sustainability. So, she opted for a very subtle bridal look in which she chose to wear diamond jewelry as she wore the same diamond-emerald neckpiece at Akash Ambani and Shloka Ambani’s wedding ceremony by breaking the stereotype of how celebrity weddings are done.
3. ANKITA LOKHANDE
Ankita Lokhande and beau Vicky Jain took their wedding vows on December 14th. A three-day affair that kicked off with a Pre-wedding shoot followed by Mehendi, Sangeet, and the wedding ceremonies. The event took place in one of Mumbai’s opulent properties – The Grand Hyatt. The couple tied the knot in a traditional Marathi way.
For a pre-wedding event with beau Vicky, Ankita looked like the Maharashtrian girl-next-door in a neon saree with a bright pink border paired with a matching blouse.
All glammed up for her Pre-wedding dinner event, Ankita looked regal in a maroon pleated saree. She styled the same with an embellished strappy blouse.
Mehendi ceremony was a lively affair. Ankita coordinated her outfits with Vicky Jain. Their outfits were picked from designer Siddhartha Bansal’s collection. Ankita’s colorful outfit was crafted by 15 karigars and adorned with sequins, patches and took 45 days to complete.
The bride’s lehenga was draped with a tissue sheer dupatta with a scalloped hem. Bright, bold, and happy shades entailed her colorful look.
She manifested glamoured look in a Shantanu and Nikhil sparkly gown which featured a plunging neckline, a waist cut-out, and a sheer cape attached to her opulent gown for her Sangeet ceremony.
Ankita and Vicky looked like the most elegant and perfectly happy couple in outfits curated by Manish Malhotra for their special day. She looked every bit gorgeous in a gold lehenga that was doused in crystals, a matching blouse, and a sheer veil.
The Pre-wedding look was enhanced by Emerald glass bangles, gold, and red choker, and matching earrings completed her look. For the dinner event, she styled her hair into messy curls and smokey-defined eyes & statement jewelry including a pearl necklace and matching traditional earrings to compliment her overall look.
To complement the lehenga the actress sported matching bangles and kaleeras, heavy Polki jewelry with a necklace and earrings.
4. YAMI GAUTAM
Yami Gautam and Aditiya Dhar started their journey on June 4, 2021, on the grounds of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh in the presence of 20 guests. she believes in simplicity, and from the beginning, she knew that celebrity wedding inspiration is a new trend and she wants to set a new bar. Her focus was solely on the ceremony with people who actually cares about her and not trying to please everyone. Yami, a Himachali bride, followed the rituals wholeheartedly.
Yami Gautam pulled on a red Benarasi saree featuring gathered details of motifs and a thick zari border that belonged to her mother. While the saree was simple, it perfectly complimented her blouse which bore floral motifs in the same gold embroidery, all over it.
To complete her look, she added a matching red dupatta that was gifted by her maternal grandmother. Yami opted for a green silk saree on her post-wedding look.
She chose to enhance her features with subtle kohl-lined eyes, bright red lips that matched her wedding outfit, and just a bit of blush on her cheeks, for a classic traditional bridal glow. Her hair was styled by her sister, Surilie Gautam.
No look is complete without accessories and Yami’s heirloom jewels which involved a regal gold choker set, maang tikka, and kalire, decorated with cowries and coconut enhanced her wedding outfit. She also wore Himachali Nath which was also gifted by her grandmother.
Her silk saree is paired with minimal jewelry including her mangalsutra, earrings, and chooda. Yami wore aatheru, which is made up of three ornamental elements, the dejhoor, the athoor, and atah which is traditionally worn by married Kashmiri women.
Not just us but even actor Kangana Ranaut had glorified Yami for her glamorous yet simple bridal look. Sharing a picture of Yami dressed in red, Kangana wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Older than tradition and time. Nothing more divine than a raw mountain girl turned bride #himachalpradesh.”
Yami also posted a picture, flaunting her newly bridal glow, wearing a traditional outfit. Yami captioned the picture as “Rind posh maal gindane draaye lo lo. Let’s welcome the spring season.”
5. MOUNI ROY
Mouni Roy got married to Dubai-based entrepreneur Suraj Nambiar at Hilton Goa Resort, a hotel situated at Candolim, Goa. The venue offers an exotic view of the pristine waters and the beaches. Now, that is just perfect for a fairytale wedding.
The wedding ceremony took place on 27th January 2022. The Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies were held a day prior to the wedding on 26th January 2022.
The couple had multi-cultural wedding ceremonies, a Malayali wedding in the daybreak followed by a Bengali Shaadi in the late evening, considering their respective cultural origins. Mouni Roy’s Haldi Ceremony took place in a matter of 45 minutes.
Mouni is looking stunning in the white kanjeevaram saree with a red and golden border. She wore an embroidered white lehenga with heavy golden borders with a sleeveless intricate blouse in her Haldi.
For the Mehendi, Mouni took an unorthodox route in a yellow lehenga with a backless choli styled by designer Payal Singhal. The statement blouse is comprised of seashell details.
Paying ode to Suraj Nambiar’s Malayali roots wholeheartedly, Bengali girl Mouni Roy made for a spectacular South Indian bride in a white silk saree. She pulled off a traditional red and golden border saree, that exhibited a regal appeal.
Getting off the trend train of contemporary pastel hues, she went for a traditional Bengali bridal look in a conventional red lehenga. The outfit came embellished with heavy gold embroideries and a detailed border. She looked like a divine vision.
She sported a double dupatta with one of them neatly set on her head as a veil. The border of her drape was also embroidered with ‘Aayushmati Bhava’, almost similar to that of Deepika Padukone and Patralekhaa’s wedding dupattas to a certain extent.
Anmol Jewellers, Ishu Datwani designed Mouni’s ornaments for both events. Her temple jewelry was crafted in pure 22-carat gold.
Her jewelry set comprised of an elegant choker with long haar, jhumkas, Matha Patti, kadas, and Kamar bandh cast in pure 22-carat gold. The design consisted of carvings of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi.
For Mehendi, She accessorized her look with traditional South Indian jewelry. She completed her look with a quintessential Kamar bandh and a gajra adorned braid. A sublime ensemble of polki and emerald jewelry completed her look.
