Life at BookEventz – An Epic Office Outing

Being in office and working as an adult is a job that none of us is prepared for! But this is what life is all about, doing the unexpected. In the same way, we at BookEventz make sure that we do things most creatively and unexpectedly be it working or having fun! When it comes to an office outing or a trip, we never take time to think and just get on board with this brilliant idea of fun. 

It was the 7th of August when the whole team of Bookeventz was up for an adventure. The team of Bookeventz had this golden opportunity to take time off from their busy schedules and indulge in some outdoor fun activities. 

This super fun and much-needed office outing took place at the Sun and Beach Resort, Gorai Beach. The Sun Beach Resort surrounded by lush green surroundings and loads of coconut trees filled the employees with enthusiasm. Everyone in the organization was filled with zest and zeal. It was so much fun and we are still mesmerized with it! The pictures uploaded are the proofs that it was one hell of an office outing!

In a company of 150, approximately 110 heads turned up and made this trip a huge success.  However, most of the employees left the night before the official day of the trip. We played games all night long along with good music and drinks. It was one of those nights where you make most of the memories with your friends which you cherish for the rest of your lives. The remaining people who stayed back managed to reach the destination in their vehicles and joined the others for breakfast. 

For the breakfast, the resort served us with delicious idlis, wadas along with various chutneys and sambhar and for the non-vegetarians they had egg bhurji and pav. Soon after a filling breakfast, everyone got engaged in sports or other outdoor activities. We played basketball and our number one basketball player got so engaged the game that she ended up with a minor sprain in her. The cricket we played was more intense than that of a T20 match! This time our picnic had many interactive activities and games which served as a perfect way to create a bonding experience between fellow workers and management. After all, there’s nothing like playing on the same team to be on the same team! 

It was around noon when people donned their swim costume and went straight into the pool. After spending 1 – 2 hrs in the pool we kind of started feeling like aquatic vertebrates! We played many water games along with constantly pushing people into the pool who refused to participate. Water-Polo game was the simplest of all but was the most memorable and fun game of the whole picnic. 

Post the swimming fun we headed straight for lunch where they served us with flavoursome North Indian dishes accompanied by mouth-watering desserts. Again after lunch, we rushed back to the swimming pool where we played tug-of-war and aqua volleyball. Post the pool session we quickly changed and headed out for the hi-tea or the evening snacks. 

Later that evening we all gathered for the last time before leaving. We spoke of the memories we made in the entire day throughout the trip and that’s basically how our photography session commenced! Everyone got busy in capturing those precious moments. This outing was the most amusing experience many of us ever experienced so far. 

We cannot be happier and proud to be a part of an organization that knows how to balance it all! Where work meets fun and creativity meets efficiency!
