Health is wealth! People all over the globe have now taken this thought seriously. This generation of consumers want their food to be more tasty and affordable. At the same time they want it to be healthy and under a certain calorie count. Consumers are receiving more information than ever about food, health, nutrition, and food safety, impacting their decision-making process and beliefs about foods. The food and food safety environments have changed significantly in the past 12 months.
Food joints now have realised the value of healthy food and therefore they include a special menu which is different from their traditional menu. To elaborate this point, Mc Donald’s now have a healthy salad burger apart from their signature ones. Pizza Hut and Dominos have special wheat based and low fat cheese pizzas. They ensure that they don’t lose out on their newly turned health freak customers. Well, what can possibly be better than a combination of tasty and healthy? According to a recent survey conducted we came to know that 70% people now prefer healthy food. Healthy food has now become a USP of many food products worldwide. More than anything else they make the health factor in their food their ultra-selling point. This is pretty much evident from the advertisements we see now a days. Healthy food not only helps you keep that extra flab in check but it also helps you prevent as well as fights many diseases.
This new trend is not only seen in the western countries but its widely spreading in India as well. But there is no complaining here right? After all eating healthy food is a very good habit which is being cultivated by the people and hence by the restaurants all over the world.
