The Indian premier league! That 2 month short period when every person, be it a cricket fanatic or a child or just another house wife enjoy watching cricket. It’s the most awaited cricket season which is being played since 6 years. This year the IPL is going to take place In the City of Gold, Dubai. The second half is scheduled to happen in Mumbai itself, so we’re not missing out on much.
The Indian Premier League is what you get when you combine cricket with glamour and zest. The association of celebrities with cricket is what makes IPL the most loved and awaited cricket season all over India. It’s the phase where cricket just becomes another reason to hang out and enjoy with your friends. The thrill of supporting different teams, be it The Kolkata Knight Riders or The Mumbai Indians or simply The Royal Challengers Bangalore. Everyone has their own peculiar reason of supporting different teams. The true cricket lovers support teams for the type of players while others support it because the team is named after their state and some of them support a particular team because of the celebrity linked with it. Whatever be the reason, The Indian Premiere league has a special aura to it. The concept of having a 20 over match and the various celebrities that are seen in the stadium gives IPL the hype it deserves. The tradition goes of having 2 matches per day and it lasts for roughly a month and a half.
This One and a half month period while the IPL happens creates quite a buzz throughout the town as The Indian Premier League is screened at many lounges and pubs as well.
