About the Session:
This is a project that grew out of Shakuntala Kulkarni’s personal and shared experiences. As she worked on this project, she kept shifting the context at different stages of the work to address different issues, thus stretching the dimension and the scope of the project.

Shakuntala views the project as a condition in which our shared concerns of the present, the growing violence and atrocities experienced specially by the women community can be debated. Essentially, this project addresses the need for protecting the female body from the constant threat of violation that it faces.

Shakuntala Kulkarni is a visual artist who has participated in group shows in India, Bangladesh, U K., U S A, Palestine, Nepal, Dubai, Singapore Argentina , Arnhem and Basel. She has had solo exhibitions in India and participated in art residencies and workshops in India, UK, and Bangladesh.

River Rafting at Kundalika River in Kolad is about 4 hrs drive from Pune and Mumbai. White Water Rafting in Kundalika river, Kolad is controlled by the release of the Dam water on the Kundalika River and offers Grade II and Grade III rapids (Higher the Grade, higher the level of difficulty).
