For this simple recipe, all you need is:

  • 1/4th cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2/3rd cup of castor sugar
  • 1+2/3rd cup of all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup of regular butter
  • 3/4th + 1 tbsp of yogurt
  • ½ tsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 4 tbsp of milk

Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees Celcius. Mix all the dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately in a large bowl, then mix them together in a single bowl. Transfer the content into a greased baking container and bake for about 30-35 mins at 180 degrees Celcius. After the cake is out let it cool for some time and decorate it with sprinkles or toppings of your choice!

For this simple recipe, all you need is:

  • 1 + ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 teaspoon (4g) baking powder
  • 1 cup (285g) yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon (3g) baking soda
  • ¾ cup (150g) castor sugar
  • ½ cup (120mL) vegetable 0il
  • 1 teaspoon (5mL) Vanilla Extract or Vanilla beans
  • ½ cup (63g) crushed walnuts

Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees Celcius. In a bowl whisk together flour and baking powder and set aside. In a separate bowl add the yogurt and sprinkle baking soda over it and set it aside to foam up. Whisk together castor sugar and oil in a separate bowl until pale and well combined. Now pour the yogurt mixture to the oil and sugar mixture and mix well. Add the vanilla extract. Gently mix all the ingredients well and make sure you are not over mixing. Transfer the content into a greased baking container and bake for about 30-35 mins at 180 degrees Celcius.

  • 300 grams Oreos
  • 1⁄2 cup sugar
  • A 1⁄2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee powder (optional)

Crush the Oreos finely into a blender. Add sugar, baking powder, instant coffee(optional), and mix well. Then add milk and vanilla essence and mix until the batter is smooth and there are no lumps.   • 6 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 5 tbsp of oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour(maida)
  • 1/4th tsp of baking powder
  • ½ tsp of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup castor sugar
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp of instant coffee

Preheat the open at 180 degrees Celcius. Mix all the dry ingredients like cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and instant coffee well in a large bowl. Mix all the wet ingredients such as oil and yogurt in a separate bowl. Now combine both the dry and wet ingredients well such that no lumps are formed. Also, make sure you’re not over-mixing the batter. Now transfer this mixture in a greased baking container and bake for 30-35 minutes in 180-degree Celcius. After the cake has cooled, pour some chocolate ganache. For making chocolate ganache mix 1.5 cups of heavy cream with 2 cups of melted dark chocolate. Combine them well and pour it over the cake such that it covers the cake completely. Keep it in the refrigerator for it to set. Then top it with shaved chocolate and toppings of your choice.

  • 1 + ½ cup (180g) all-purpose flour/ maida, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons (15g) cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon (6g) baking soda
  • 1 cup (200g) castor sugar
  • ½ cup (120mL) vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup (72g) yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons (10mL) lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons (10mL) vanilla extract
  • 4-5 teaspoons (20-25mL) red food colour
  • 1 cup (237mL) milk + 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 cups salt for baking

In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients first. In another bowl mix milk and vinegar and let it rest for some time. Combine sugar and oil and add lemon juice and curd. Mix this with the dry ingredients and the buttermilk and then add the red food coloring. Transfer the content to a greased baking container and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 mins. And voila your delicious and mouth-watering red velvet cake is ready! You can garnish this with whipped cream or buttercream frosting!
